"Cyber Monday" is a term first coined by Ellen Davis of the National Retail Federation on November 28, 2005, in a Shop.org press release and has quickly become One of the Biggest Online Shopping Days of the Year.

174 million Americans shopped between Thanksgiving Day and Cyber Monday and spent an average of $335 per person during that five-day period.

The biggest spenders, Millenials aged 24 to 35, spent an average of $419.52 per person.

Additionally, over 25 million items were ordered over Black Friday and Cyber Monday on Amazon alone, breaking records all over the place.

In happy small biz news, independent third-party sellers on Amazon comprised of small and medium-sized businesses sold more items during Cyber Monday 2019 than any other 24-hour period in the company’s history.
